Berlin-born pianist, composer and producer Gustav Anders brings his music to Bar Thousand for Thousand Live. Raised between the clay-rich fields of the Oderbruch and the nights of Berlin, he creates music with a steady pulse beneath meditative, intricate harmonies.
Shaped by Ostgut Ton, jazz sessions in Kreuzberg’s late-night corner shops and the digital awakening of the early 2000s, Anders combines rhythmic directness with a deep sensitivity to sound. His music carries both the movement of the city and the spaciousness of the landscape he grew up in.
His compositions are melancholic and ethereal, yet warm and quietly majestic. Harmonies meet naturally, as though they have always belonged together, creating music whose depth needs no explanation. Performing his pieces both solo at the piano and as part of a trio, Anders brings these qualities into a live setting where each phrase has room to resonate.
Doors open at 9:00 PM, and the concert begins at 10:30 PM, DJ set after.
