One floor under a groove!

Techno beats the sun!

With their splendid mixture of Chicago house, garage, hip-hop and soul, the Dutch duo Detroit Swindle is clearly one the fine discoveries of the last three years. But everything began with a rejection: Lars Dales was the former booker of the club More and had to cancel the gigs of Maarten Smeets, because his style was too deep for the more commercial program. Since then, the two are inseparable and after little more than ten releases they will celebrate the official launch of their debut album „Boxed Out“ on our Boiler floor tonight. The American Rick Wade is their invited guest who has spread his love for house music on more than 30 labels since the mid-90s – including his own imprint Harmonie Park. Alexander Dorn aka Credit 00 is part of Dresden’s sympathetic Uncanny Valley family; his passion is for analog synthesizers with which he conjures up magical moments between Detroit and Italo fantasies. One floor under a groove!

On our Bunker floor the techno force may be with you: The Dutchman Niels Luinenburg is the face behind the project Delta Funktionen. While his debut album „Traces“ on quality label Delsin is a fascinating hybrid between acid, IDM and present electro, his EPs and singles reflect first-class techno with a pounding character. The Berlin-based Michael Klein has not only studied Audio Engineering, the born Frankfurter also likes to play with four decks. His previous STATTBAD sets have shown he isn’t just interested in playing the latest hits, but rather in digging lower into deep tracks with plenty of chords and powerful bass lines. Our resident Andrejko will prove with his closing skills once again, he’s no friend of nostalgia or too many decorations. The game is called: modern techno with uncompromising ruthlessness. Techno beats the sun!
